He joins a group touring France Germany Switzerland Italy Greece and England with a focus on the Holy Land and plans to return July 30. The third annual Lanes Chapel Homecoming was held June 4 at Lanes Chapel Church between Clifton and Mosheim. About 125 people attended a morning devotional by Charley Sowell, a noon lunch under oak trees, and an afternoon service with songs led by John Dunn and D. A. Golden. Donations for church grounds reached 168.50 dollars and many families from Fort Worth Dallas Odessa Monahans and other towns joined.

Mr Stokes Dies In Granbury After Heart Attack
W C Stokes age 67 of Granbury died suddenly at home from a heart attack around 8 30 pm Wednesday June 7. He had a long history of heart trouble but remained active, enjoyed fishing, and had lived in Granbury since 1951. He leaves wife Mrs W C Stokes son William Carroll Stokes of Los Angeles and three daughters Blair Enochs Cecyle Tarkington and Dora Lynn Stokes. Funeral services were held Friday at 5:00 pm.

Prices from Clifton show eggs and dairy steady to firm with cream at 40c per pound and oats at 62c per bushel. About 450 cattle were auctioned, with slaughter steers 19 to 24 dollars, stocker steers 19 to 22, cows 15 to 16, bulls 17 to 18.75, and cows with calves 120 to 200 dollars. hogs top at 16.80 and lambs at 15.00.
