John Holverson Dies At Clifton Home
John Holverson, a Clifton resident and longtime machinist, died at his Clifton home on Tuesday at about 3:45 PM after a long illness. He was born January 2, 1867 in Brownsboro Texas and married Allox Alma Helen Durie September 11, 18S, leaving two surviving sons and two daughters. Funeral services were held at the family home and Trinity Lutheran Church with interment in Clifton Cemetery.

Obituary: Mrs Elsie Barnett of Whitney Dies
Elsie Allens Barnett wife of W C Barnett, longtime Whitney resident, died Monday in Valley Mills after a short illness. Born August 27, 1902 in Coryell City Texas, she was a Presbyterian and active in local social life. Survived by five children Weldon Betty Prentice Wayne Sadler two sisters and a brother in the Coast Guard. Funeral held at Valley Mills Presbyterian Church attended by many Whitney friends. Burial in Valley Mills Cemetery with Rev Oren Burk presiding.
