Norway to Send Planes in Search of Amundsen
Oslo reports the Norwegian government will deploy two seaplanes to the Arctic to aid the Amundsen Ellesworth North Pole expedition. The vessel Innertre will transport the aircraft toward the Arctic, with Lt. Lieten Holm leading the relief party alongside two polar fliers associated with Amundsen’s 1923 expedition. The plans await final confirmation from Horton, and aircraft are described as modified seaplanes with four machines planned.
