J M Jenison of Clifton celebrated his 78th birthday and long service to the Clifton area. Born 1810 in Mane there and Bereim Sensee, he held roles as bank cashier, secretary treasurer of Clifton Farm Loan, and drove community growth through churches and boards. He organized banks and loan associations, served as elder and church secretary, and contributed to public schools and Masonic orders.

Osborne Warren an 18 year old Gatesville resident was killed at a Merid ian rodeo when trampled by a wild bronc that bolted from a gate. He was helped by fellow contestants and died from injuries after the incident. Funeral services were held at Scott Funeral Home in Gatesville. He had lived in Gatesville for several years and attended the local high school.
Summer session at CJC begins Monday with courses led by Dean Tyesan and staff. Subjects emphasize history chemistry mathematics language and business among others. The six week term runs until July 17 followed by a short session. courses approved under the G L bill.
Mrs Elizabeth Dyess aged 88 died at a local hospital before midnight Tuesday. Funeral services were at 2 30 from the home to Clifton Methodist Church then Cemetery. She was born in Paine Place Adair County Kentucky to Elizabeth Jarver She had four children from two marriages and survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
