Work on the new school building is pushed rapidly. Walls torn down debris cleared and construction to start as soon as material arrives in sufficient quantities. The erection contract has been let to Stewarts Woods and Brown of Gorman and a September opening is anticipated. Seats desks and stores are contracted.

Cyclone lifts water from lake near Clarendon
A cyclone swept one mile southwest of Letis Lake in Clarendon on Monday afternoon uprooting trees and fences and draining the water from a fourdcre lake before moving away. Damages were negligible though some structures were toppled. rain was not needed for crops, but light showers could benefit late-season crops after recent rains.
