Walter William Landua, 38, barber and Clifton resident, died by self destruction at his Glen Rose home May 29. Found with a .22 rifle by his side after an apparent morning vigil. Burial followed at 2:80 PM local time after the noon service.

Bam Caughran, 21, was bitten on the knee while clearing brush at White Ranch, about twelve miles northeast of Clifton. A companion treated the wound with a pocket knife and stitching before medical help arrived. he was later taken to town for care and reported improving despite initial danger.

The event honored Mr and Mrs C P Burton of Dallas owner of over twelve thousand acres of Bosque County ranch land near Clifton. A crowd of 250 heard a program praising the Burtons and their Texas investment, with a note they may build a modern ranch home and reside part time in the area.
