Commencement Exercises At Clifton Junior College Held

Clifton Junior College held its commencement in the editorium on May 26 at 8 00 p m with Evelyn Ramsland and Martha Louise Swenson performing Pomp and Circumstance. Rev 1 B Thorson opened with prayer as graduates listened to remarks on college life and associations. Dan Geine spoke on the value of schooling, the senior choir sang Like Temple Bella, and Marie Goerivier delivered the valedictory. Prof J H Aydelotte gave the commencement address praising purposeful character and optimistic growth.

Clifton Lions Club Honors Memorial Day With Meeting

Clifton Lions Club held a Memorial Day observance at City Hall with fried chicken served by First Methodist Church volunteers. Guests Lions Conner and Nalley spoke briefly, Dr Shipp attended, and Lion Hopkins delivered the main Memorial Day address. Nominations were accepted for installation on June 14 with 20 Lions hoped for at the next meeting.

Workers Conference To Be Held at Steiner Steiner

The Baptist Workers' Conference will be held at Steiner on June 6 with a full program.
