Dixon Downs German Plane In Aerial Battle

Wm. T. Dixon, son of Mrs. Jo Ann Dixon of Clifton Texas, scored a victory over a German fighter high above Vienna on January 26 while serving with the 15th Air Force. In a B24 bomber group engagement, Dixon’s twin machine guns set an ME 103 on fire as approx 150 enemy planes attacked the formation.
