A Detroit based Lesley Light Corporation advertises its Lalley Light farm lighting system as the best on the market. The copy promises ease of use from electric lighting to powering a mill washing machine and labor saving devices. It invites demonstrations at farms or homes and offers installation and home telephone contact.
Sven Bronstad, a former Luther College athlete and World War II veteran, returns to college life as a teacher and athletic director at Clifton College. A Texas native, Bronstad starred in baseball and basketball before serving in the army and earning a bachelor’s degree. He will lead athletics and coach boys and girls in sports next season.

Clarence Goar son of Mr and Mrs C C Goar of Cranfill died at Fort Worth last Tuesday. The body was shipped here Wednesday and taken to Cranfill Gap for interment. The deceased was a student at the Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth preparing to serve the church as minister. His death leaves his parents and relatives in deep mourning with many friends offering sympathy.

A three year old child died Saturday evening after being struck by a heavy truck at a river loading area near a depot. The father and bystanders attempted to free the child as the truck moved, but the injuries were fatal. The incident prompted an investigation and a hospital report is pending.
