Trade's Day a Success at Clifton Fair
Last Monday July 18 Clifton held Trades Day with strong county turnout. Vegetables and farm products drew high praise for quality and prize competition. Dinners raised about 60 to 70 dollars, with Aug 2 planned. Valley Mills beat Meridian 2 1 in hot ball game. Notable races featured Grimland and Mr. Benton Smith, and numerous cash prizes were awarded for wheat oats corn cotton melons squash potatoes and more from local businesses and banks.
