Nils Anton Nelson, a lifelong resident of Sifton, died Tuesday night at the home of Mrs. Charlie Poulson in east Sifton after weeks of illness. Born in Gundalsdalen, Norway on December 11, 1854, he came to America in 1915 and settled in Clifton. He worked as a shoemaker for many years and was known as "Shoemaker Nelson." A studious man, he enjoyed reading history and current literature and recently joined the local Church of Christ. He leaves no wife or children, with brothers and sisters in the area as surviving relatives.
