Fourth of July Gathering and O'Bryan Visit in Clifton
The July Fourth celebrations see a reunion mood as O'Bryan brothers Alvin, Barnett, and Ewell visit Clifton for the first time in decades, recalling their late father who started the Clifton Record. Nearby, Mrs. and Mrs. J. H. Wiha and others attend a wedding reception, while residents note changes at the Resor plant and reminisce about childhood friends. An anniversary party honors a couple with a large turnout and a 25 year milestone, featuring a pink and silver wedding motif and a large guest list from Dallas, Temple, Waco, Gatesville, and Houston.
