Two Valley Mills Boys Return From Overseas
Billy J Freedman boilerman third class USN son of Mr and Mrs Henry Freedman of Valley Mills and husband of Mrs Willa Dene Freedman of Waco plus Paul L Odie seaman USN son of Mr and Mrs Claude Odie of Valley Mills and husband of Mrs Marie V Odie of Boston returned to the United States this week aboard the USS Essex and the USS Braine from duty with the 7th Fleet in Far Eastern waters. Essex ports included Pearl Harbor Yokosuka Sasebo Manila Subic Bay Bangkok and Hong Kong. Braine port calls were Manila Hong Kong Hiroshima Okinawa Midway Island and Pearl Harbor.
