Pure Bred Live Stock Association Holds Clifton Meeting
Theran leaders gathered in Clifton on Saturday January 20 for a Bosque County pure bred Livestock Association meeting. County bankers attended and urged assistance to raise better stock. Officers elected were Craig M. Lagan president J N Catwick vice president Gat D. Colwick secretary treasurer. A traveling exhibit train will tour county towns to showcase stock and spur countywide interest. Dates April 11 and April 18 were chosen for events.

Bill to Promote Home Ownership in Texas Proposed
Austin, Texas Jan 19 Representative Lloyd E Price of Daingerfeld Morrie County has introduced in the House a measure to encourage home ownership by allowing buyers of property to retain ownership until the unpaid purchase money is paid while paying taxes only on the land equity and the lender to pay taxes on the remaining assessed value of the land.

Death of Allison Mayfield longtime Texas railroad chairman
Sherman Texas January 28 Allison Mayfield chairman of the Texas railroad commission for twelve years died this morning around six from heart trouble. Mayfield was raised in Sherman, served as city attorney, assistant to Attorney General Charles Culberson, secretary of state, and was elected railroad commissioner about 24 years ago, serving twelve years as chairman. The obituary notes his prominent public service and ties to Clifton.
