Mrs Gangshei Dies in Clifton After Stroke
Mrs. Oscar Gangshei 83 died at the local hospital Monday about 4:00 am from a cerebral hemorrhage suffered at home the prior Saturday. She had lapsed into unconsciousness after the attack and had been active in civic and church work. Her husband, Owen Gangshei, had multiple heart attacks and was hospitalized this week. Born March 15 1806 on a ranch between Hamilton and Energy, she was educated at Tonkaw School and Clifton Academy and married in 1901. The couple lived at 1008 West Eleventh Street and were active in building and construction until illness slowed them.

Ed Conrad Dies Suddenly In Clifton Farm Incident
Ed Conrad died after a heart attack while supervising a tree fall near Clifton. He was born June 24, 1880, and lived as a farmer and landowner in Clifton. Survived by wife Matile Knuppe, two children and several grandchildren. Funeral services were held locally.

Clifton High Teams Battle Whitney Friday Night
Clifton High School hosts Whitney High School in a boys and girls basketball doubleheader. Diversion terraces were checked for completion by Marvin Grimm and George E Allen to divert water from cropland. Two races were staked for J Damron and Over Grimlend farms. terraces on multiple farms were checked to slow runoff and reduce erosion. Technicians assisted the conservation effort with equipment and planning for protection and improvement.
