Post Office Advises Against Mailing Coins
Mayung 1008e coins mailed in ordinary letters are unsafe and discouraged says Clifton postmaster A J Bronstad. If mailing money is necessary, attach the coin to cardboard with tape and place in an inner envelope. This precaution is vital when No 15 and No 16 pouches are used as fast trains cause jolts that can tear envelopes.
