Fat Stock Show in Fort Worth announces entry deadlines for cattle sheep and goats with fees around 85 cents to $1.00 per head. The event will feature multiple departments and a nine day rodeo and horse show starting in March. Local bride Geraldine Maline wed Mr. Charles Crowley in Clifton with family and friends attending.
The obituary notes Mrs. Emma Landua born Kathauer in Rebburg Texas died after a stroke at her home in Glen on Sunday January 5. Survived by three children Herman Landua Mrs Serta Bichte and Mrs Ed Juster, plus three sisters and four brothers. Funeral January 21 at Trinity Lutheran Church Clifton with interment at Ute ton Cemetery.

The Apollo Choirs led by Coleman Cooper will perform in an American version of the Vienna Boys Choir. Organized in 1995 as a non sectarian ensemble, it tours 38 states, with boys aged 9 to 14 performing a broad program and extending concert tours each spring and fall.
Clergy in Clifton form the Clifton Ministerial Association to unify and extend efforts for community welfare. Officers named include Pastor P. De Young as chair and Pastor Walter T. Gigstid as secretary with Pastor Cecil H. Smith as treasurer. Other local pastors may be invited to join.

Clifton College Cowboys won their first two conference basketball games last week, defeating Temple Junior College 41 to 8 and Westminster 33 to 21. Next Saturday they host Navarro Junior College at 8 pm. both girls and boys teams play Mosheim High School that evening. Bronstad led Temple with 14 points. Roberts led Clifton with 18 in the Westminster tilt.
Clifton High School girls basketball team hosts a home game with local rivals. The matchup features key players from both squads and aims to boost standings in the conference.
Saturday January 11 about forty dairymen met at the courthouse and organized the Bosque County Dairy Association. Judge Jim Martin was named president with R E Wyatt as vice president H T Bass as secretary treasurer and Frank Woodruff W E Grimes and Coy Wall named directors. Speakers included Judge Martin Senator Earl Mayfield and A R Canonico who discussed dairy production marketing and formation steps.
Community urged to donate through local drives and theaters to support the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis. Bosque County reports two polio cases under care, funded by March of Dimes contributions to provide medical care regardless of age or background.
The Mid-Texas Hereford Association will stage its annual show and sale in Stephenville on Monday January 20. The sale begins at 9 30 in the morning with $1 000 cash prizes and 56 head offered including 90 bulls and 26 males. Members come from Bosque Comanche Eastland Erath Hamilton Moo Pato Pinto and Somervell counties.
