A. Landgraf was elected a director of Farmers Guaranty State Bank of Clifton. Landgraf is a prosperous farmer and stockman near Coyote and widely known across the county. The bank is congratulated on securing him for the board.

Christian Church invites all to Bible study and worship every Sunday at 10 a.m. Preaching on the first and third Sundays of each month, and the preceding Saturday night, by A. B. Barrett of Cleburne, Texas.
The Beverly Entertainers appear next Friday night January 15 as the next Lyceum course event. Miss Mabel Bloomquist sings and plays mandolin and piano. Miss Rita Smith sings and reads with guitar. Miss Myrtle Bloomquist performs contrast mandolin and guitar. Miss Laura Curtis does readings mandolin and is accompanist.

The drug firm of Hutton and Carpenter was dissolved last Monday afternoon when Clarence Carpenter bought the one half interest of partner J. K. Hutton. Carpenter is praised as a capable businessman and receives many congratulations from friends for the success.
Dr. B. Kavanaugh was shot yesterday evening about 7 o’clock with a double-barrel shotgun. The discharge wounded the stomach and hip. O. S. Ogden surrendered. Dr. Kavanaugh, once connected with Clifton and Norse, had studied at a medical college and earned an MD while his wife trained as a pharmacist. The couple had visited Clifton last year seeking a home. Conditions of the doctor were uncertain, with no further details available.
Regular services announced for German Lutheran Church with English service on January 17 at 7.10 p.m. The German service is scheduled for Sunday January 17 at 10.04 a.m.
