Poage left his thirty seventh birthday for Washington to start his first term as Congressman for the Eleventh District which includes Bell Bosque Corvil Falls McLennan and Milam counties. He was sworn in January fifth with his mother Mrs. W A Poage accompanying him. Poage previously served in the Texas House and Senate and earned his AB and law degrees from Baylor University.
