Wreck Injures Spangie Jr and Young Graham on Dallas Trip

Spangie Jr and his fifteen year old friend Yd Graham were in an automobile wreck near the city on Christmas Eve. Spangie escaped with severe cuts while Graham suffered a broken right leg. Both were treated. Graham to Dallas hospital, Spangie to his home. A replacement car was provided by Standee Chevrolet.

Rules For Rhythm Band Contest Set For County Meet

In a November 3 meeting the executive committee of the Interscholastic League voted to make rhythm bands a regular part of the County Meet. Five bands from Bosque County Clifton Walnut Springs Iredell Mosheim and Granville Gap will compete in Clifton next March for ribbons. Rules limit participants to Grades 1–3 with 40 maximum and 15 minimum per band. each band must have a director aged six to nine. Costumes optional. bands may have piano accompaniment. no sitting, no singing, no counting, and one piece will be chosen for all bands to play by chance.
