Miss Temple West an eighth grader sustained severe burns when a stove flare near her seat in the grade room during play period. She was treated at the scene and remained in the hospital ten days with recovery expected slowly. Family and friends visit Clifton and Temple area for updates on her condition.
Sheriff and local officers report multiple burglaries in Clifton and Valley Mills during the past week. Two break ins yielded small cash sums while one at Coyote Store and filling station netted under $3. Authorities have fingerprint leads from Waco and anticipate arrests soon.
