The Weal Baptist Church in Clifton welcomes Rev. G. B. Kendall and his wife as their new pastor. Kendall has arrived to begin his duties and will preach his first sermon on Sunday morning February 17. He previously taught in Guynse Texas public schools and will soon join his wife in Clifton. Kendall is a Baylor and Fort Worth Baptist Seminary graduate with several years of pastoral experience and a growing reputation as a young preacher. The church members extend a hearty welcome to the Kendalls.

Mrs. J M Nelson dies at age fifty seven years ten months from Norse origin. Born Clara Reierson on March 13 1877 to Hane s and Bertha Reierson she joined Our Savior Lutheran Church early and was baptized there. She married Jim M Nelson December 14 1897 at St Olaf Lutheran Church and resided on farms near Norse Clifton and Chan before settling back on a farm. She and her husband were long time members of Trinity Lutheran Church Clifton.
