Members of the Clifton Chapter of the Future Homemakers moved into a new household economics department in the Iltan Public Schools on Tuesday February 3. The room features blue and yellow cabinets and new floors with three compartments laboratory, workshop, and sewing rooms. The chapter held its monthly meeting February 4 with officers and members present as the chapter continues its activities.
Miss Sile Snider and Mrs Kola Peters host a shower at the home of Mr. Ted B. vary on South Avenue Gsm Friday January 30 at 10:00 oclock. The event honoring Clifton ladies includes guests from this city.
Mrs Lillie Cranfill Williams dies at the oral hospital February 2 1953 two weeks after husband Jackson Williams death at age 7 years following long illness from high blood pressure influenza pneumonia and a stroke Funeral services were held at Cranfills Gap Methodist Church with interment in Cranfills Gap Cemetery She was born February 7 16579 in Bee Till community to Zack Adams and wife and had married C W Cranfill on March 20 WH The Cranfills Gap area and nearby farm life shaped her family ties and upbringing
The band conducted a uniform drive raising nearly 1,600 dollars with hopes for more donations. Organizers plan a free show in March to support the fund and consider white shoes for uniforms. Principal figures include band parents, members, and instructor Mr. Allen.
Antoni Stacha 59 died here February 11 after heart attack complications. Survived by wife and three sons Anton Malmund and William two brothers Louis and Joe and a sister Mary stocks. Funeral Feb 18 at Lady of Mercy Church Hillsboro officiated by Father William Bodiek. Interment at West Hill Cemetery.
Miss Parks announces her engagement and approaching marriage at a tea hosted by Mrs Jenson and Mrs Gillan on February 7. The couple plans to wed March 6 at the First Methodist Church, following the tea event.

Blood recruiting for the Central Texas Regional Blood Bank visit to Clifton on Wednesday March 4 is underway. Dr E J Lancaster Bosque County Red Cross chair explains eligibility ages 20 to 69 in good health and 110 pounds or more parental consent allowed for those under 20. The Red Cross urges public participation as vital to the service and its neighbors.
Friends of the Norse community mourn Helmer Aars who died at his Clifton area home on February 12 at 4:45 am. The funeral was pending at press time. Survived by wife, son Alton, brothers Leonard Aars of Meridian and Jesse Aars of Texarkana, sister Mrs Ruby Zuchike of Waco, and two grandchildren. A full obituary will run next week.
The Rose County Farm Bureau will meet at 7 30 o’clock on Tuesday night February 17 at Walnut Springs High School gymnasium. Jack Donaldson agriculture teacher Valley Mills will speak on an aspect of agriculture. Directors of the Farm Bureau will attend the meeting. Mrs Allen Fensty and Miss Loria Ward of Temple visited Clifton with Miss Elsie Coston Sunday afternoon.
