Local Student Wins At Fort Worth Stock Show
Jason Brown from Clifton won first place with a Polled Hereford Junior Heifer at the 2010 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo on January 23. The event drew over 10 000 junior entries, with more than 22 000 head of livestock on display and 17 auctions. The show runs through February 7 and emphasizes livestock industry education and leadership.

DAR Hosts Lineage Research Workshop in Clifton
The Elizabeth Crockett Chapter DAR, with Brazos Valley SAR and Bosque County Genealogical Society, held a Lineage Research Workshop on February 4 in Clifton. Over 25 attendees from Waco, Meridian, Morgan, Iredell, Whitney, and nearby towns learned to trace Revolutionary War era ancestors using the DAR Genealogical Research System.
