Local points report pregnancy counts and tax questions, with visits from residents and operation updates. Fort Worth and Meridian residents, hospital and household news are mixed with community shifts at state highways and foreman appointments.
The STR Posque Gianty Interscholastic Basketball tournament took place in Clifton on February 2 and 4. Nine high schools entered boys teams and eight rural schools joined the girls division. Finals saw Cranfills Gap boys beat Iredell 12 to 14 and Clifton girls defeat Cranfills Gap 23 to 5. Rural winners were Coon Creek boys over Cayote 88 to 16 and Mount Beet over Harmer 39 to 1. Also notes on breeding bulls for sale and a Clifton Band event on February 15 with a seventh grade patriotic program to follow.

Mr Orben Sime of Winconsin presents a series of concerts of instrumental and vocal music in Lutheran churches. No admission charged but a silver collection. Sime uses unique instruments including the theremin and a cello played by hand position. Recent Red Wing Minnesota concert called a great success. In Bon Tue county the Prohibition meeting at Clifton drew over 100 percent more attendees than the Meridian gathering a month earlier. Dr J C Hardy addressed the crowd urging unity and action to oppose the 10 percent dry rule and support a nationwide prohibition effort. The Organized Forces of Beague County for the Cause of Prohibition signaled another meeting at Morgan at 2 o clock on Sunday afternoon.
Clebuene J. Stewart was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary by a jury on a kidnapping charge. Henry Liles and his son Oscar were taken November 36. Moffatt Bynum and Wynum stole warehous and were married February 5 at Valley Mile by Rev. A Gafford of the Sakperr y7 La peewee area.
