The Clifton Public School announces its fifth monthly Honor Roll for grades from first to seventh, naming top students with scores above 90. A school board meeting is set for February 12, 1023 to discuss authorizing a election to adjust the school tax rate above one dollar per hundred valuation.
Clifton College and public school notes cover snow disruptions at dorms and classes, with pupils observing events in Dallas and visits by Rev. Kleppe. The Clifton National Guard Company organized by First Lieut B B Behan and Second Lieut J H Shaw was inspected by War Department officials on June 7 1922. Attendance and drill quality received praise though funding gaps persisted as citizens, city and county governments contributed for lockers and club room but funds from the government were lacking. The unit aims to raise money for a club room with a public event offering tickets at 2.00 to support equipment and furnishings.
The American Legion Auxiliary met in February with twelve members present. The group announced the next regular meeting will be Thursday at 3. Ineligible individuals are invited to join the auxiliary as members, with names like MW Bradstreet and Socy referenced in the text.
