In Cleburne Texas on December 22 a woman with a small boy was kept at the city jail not as a prisoner but to give warmth. She escaped via a window leaving the two year old in care of Mrs. D Jackson who vowed to place him if the mother did not return. Several locals expressed interest in adopting the boy.
A project to rebuild the Bank of England to house its enlarged staff meets strong opposition from sentimentalists who view the move as sacrilegious as the old buildings prove inadequate for the expanded operations spread across London.

On December 21 the Clifton High School Senior Class hosted a banquet for the football team and faculty in Room No 2 with a T shaped table and Christmas decor.
