Mrs C M Bakke Sr dies after long illness
Mrs C M Bakke Sr nee Agnette Finstad died Monday night at her daughter's home after a lengthy illness. Born May 23 1845 in Norway she came to the colony in 1872. She married C M Bakke March 6 1876 at Waco. Survived by husband Ole M and six children, twenty five descendants noted in memory gift to Clifton College Endowment Fund. Funeral held at home and Norse Lutheran church with Rev Lavoyn officiating.

A devoted Christian, she joined the United Methodist Church at age 15 and remained steadfast in faith. Funeral services were held at the Meridian Baptist Church with burial beside her father in Meridian Cemetery. She leaves a mother and siblings, all mourning a loving sister who brought comfort to others.
