Husband and wife Amundson die within minutes apart
After a brief fever of three to five days at their home eight miles east of Clifton, Mr. Anne Amundson age 70 and wife Pauline Amundson age 68 died about five o’clock last Tuesday afternoon with under five minutes between their deaths. Ten children, seven living, include Amund, Neil, Herbert, Anton Amundson and Mrs. T. A. Thompson, Mrs. Oleg O. Christianson, Mrs. John Golden, were present at the funeral. Funeral services were at Norse Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. J. K. Rystad. The bereaved families await the sympathy of many friends.

Local settler dies after long illness at community home
A respected Southern frontier figure, beloved by youths and neighbors, died Friday at five in the afternoon. Funeral services were led by Rev. Tom Maxwell at the tabernacle Saturday afternoon, with burial in Locker cemetery beside Masonic rites. The deceased had long fostered a cheerful wagon home and resort for local boys and girls.
