The Coon Creek Baptist Church plans a weekend revival from August 24 to 26 led by Pastor Reverend Brooks H. Wester Jr. Services start 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11:00 a.m. plus 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Everyone is invited to attend.
R M Crayton underwent surgery at Medical Arts Hospital in Big Spring on August 9 and is reported as progressing satisfactorily. Jerry Gaskey and Dorann Sonntag announce the birth of son Richard Dwayne on August 15 in Stephenville. he weighed 8 pounds 9 ounces. Grandparents are J R Gaskey and Mrs. Sonntag. Visitors include Reverend Harold Morris and Mrs. Morris of Bovinia and Mrs. C O Edens. other relatives from Davis Oklahoma and Texas City visited. Mrs. B Johnson has returned home after major surgery in Clifton Hospital the first week in July. County Judge J P Ward and family moved to a new home on East Morgan Street.

Crawford and Mrs. Edward Bryn spent from Saturday noon to Sunday night in Houston visiting Mrs. Calvin Dunlop of Kermit a former Clifton resident receiving treatment at the M D Anderson Clinic They reported a good medical update and that Mrs Dunlop planned to return to Kermit this week Dianne and Dale Orbeck daughters of Mr and Mrs Dan E Orbeck spent last week in Stephenville as members of a six girl house party at the home of their great uncle and great aunt Mr and Mrs Carl Colwick Their mother and Danny Colwick accompanied them to Stephenville last Friday.

Bosque County 4H record books selected by an out-of-county Extension Agent will compete in District 8 judging in Stephenville. Fifteen records, including winners in Achievement, Senior, Junior, and various specialty groups, advance to District competition with state-level winners eligible for national awards. Wheat referendum set for August 30 to decide marketing quotas for 1963 crop under Texas A&M guidance.
Farmers in the 39 commercial wheat states who harvest over 15 acres of 1963 wheat will vote, but those in the 1962 feed wheat program are ineligible. Notices with allotment details will arrive by mail before the August 30 referendum. For more info contact your ASC committee.
