The Bosque County Democratic Convention met at the Court House in Meridian with County Chairman Frank Gandy presiding and J. L. Bird as secretary. Delegates elected to the State Convention at Fort Worth on September 7 were anti Bailey and to vote as a unit. Resolutions favored national and state governments and backed President Wilson and Hobby, with Cox and Roosevelt named as leaders.
