Sedberry Family Early Settlers of Bosque County Texas
The Sedberrys arrived in Texas in 1855 from Teo and became early Bosque County residents. William Sedberry served as county judge and later in the state legislature, with service in the Civil War. His wife Caroline Alexander Sedberry lived on the family farm until her death in 1908. Their son Dr. William Sedberry practiced medicine in Detroit Wind, then Waco, Clifton, and Clifton again, dying during the Civil War era. The article notes local landmarks and descendants, including connections to Clifton and a photograph of West Street circa 1900 showing Oscar J. Mex & Company, a Watson’s Hatchery site, and Holverson properties.
