Voters qualified to cast ballots must meet residency and tax criteria in Clifton and Trxay state law. Polls run 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. City officials list required ownership and tax payments as prerequisites for voting, with married women able to vote if community property is involved.
Mr J B Beers cotton specialist from College Station will speak to farmers in Clifton at 2 30 p m April 29 at City Hall. All interested in cotton urged to attend the meeting as it will be of much importance.
The Bosque County Sheep and Growers Association met at Clifton City Hall on the 25th with about twenty members. Due to heavy rains some could not attend. A temporary chairman was elected and the group discussed selling the 1922 clip and a May 5 sales event with rams ewes lambs billies and kids. Oscar J Rew, secretary.
A Christian Endeavor session lists songs and talks including Life Leader Bessie Mae Thomas, Maggie Lee Peterson, Anna Marie Olson, Clyce Hurst, Mary Grace Larsen, Oscar J. Res Jr, Eleanor Fricke, and Hugh Marston. Topics cover pure religion, religion and wages, the poor, industry, and moral life with readings and a benediction.
The district re elects Mr Pharr as superintendent for next year keeping the same leadership amid school progress. A community notice lists Sunday services and a church program with children focused events and a round table discussion.
