Lions Club met after a Trinity Lutheran Church meal to discuss district state and national meetings. Secretary Tennison announced Clifton plans for four members at the national Stone Club meeting in Philadelphia July 10 19. The education committee named a candidate for Scout leadership and the Club planned a Fourth of July Old Time Cowboy Tournament with support from community leaders.
County Treasurer Mra Stacy Tidwell presents a quarterly report showing the county in excellent financial condition. Outstanding items remain but are being addressed, with the general tax 26 cents and road tax 40 cents per hundred valuation, totaling 85 cents.
