In the Clifton Independent School District election held Saturday only 47 votes were cast with 28 for the winner in the preferential ballot. General Dwight Eisenhower led the president tally, while Senator Heard Russell of Georgia, with 10 votes, was second. Kephauver and Truman trailed. Poage and Teavle led in partially counted contests for other offices. Keeling and Arnold won another term as trustees. Wick won the at large post. Ten write-ins were noted, with two voters scratching candidate names.
