Mrs A D Majors born in Tennessee on January 1 1860 died at the home of her daughter Mrs Hattie Standefer in Clifton Texas on Thursday morning April 7 at 3 80 o clock. She was married to Mr A D Majors in Hill County about sixty years ago. The husband preceded her in death seven years ago. Her body will be taken to Hereford on Friday afternoon at 4 04 o clock to be laid beside her husband. A short religious service was held at Mrs Standefer s home before departure. She had lived with her daughter in Clifton for years and had been frail for some time. She suffered a severe heart attack last Sunday and declined until death. The Majors enjoyed a long period of residence near Clifton and were well known in the community. Surviving children include John Majors among others in the area.
