Prothonotary Pearson of the State Superior Court at Pittsburg affirmed a finding related to the September 14, 1912 killing carried out by Joseph Rogsing and O Keeler. The telegram from Liveright 3B and Friday afternoon resembled the old case, linking John O. Friday to the event.
Dr George W Emigh of Philipsburg seeks letters of administration for the estate of his brother Henry Emigh a Morrisdale coal miner who died after a fight in late October. An empty beer bottle allegedly struck Henry in the head and witnesses remain reticent. No investigation has been made as relatives search for the attacker who claimed self defense.

At a New York dinner by volunteer leaders a subscription drive announced 1.986 million dollars pledged for the Greater New York Young Men’s and Young Women’s Christian Association. Major gifts included John D. Rockefeller 250,000 dollars and Grace Dodge 250,000 dollars each, Mrs. Willard Straight 300,000 dollars, Helen Gould 200,000 dollars, and other gifts. Funds will finance new buildings for YM and YW branches and may support girls’ summer camps.
Thomas Fleming of Grampian ran away last Friday, rode to Williamsport, slept in a canvas boat under Market Street Bridge, sold newspapers, walked toward Grampian until a haystack, then rested in a telephone booth. Stationmaster Garrison found him in Williamsport, and his mother retrieved him. police offered advice to stay with his mother.

John O Keeler, the killer of Joseph Roessner at a Bigler Avenue brewery on September 14 1912, is to be hanged after the state supreme court refused a new trial. He shot several others, fled, and was captured days later. The governor is expected to sign within weeks and his is to be the final hanging in the county before electrocution at the new Centre county facility. Keeler shows indifference as the case closes with a death sentence unlikely to be commuted.
Percy C. Neubauer of Allport and Miss Anna Moyles of Winborne were married in Altoona on Friday afternoon at 4 o clock, then left for a New York state honeymoon. Neubauer is manager for the Allport supply store and Moyles is well known in Philipsburg.
Clearfield County delegates from Tioga lodge No. 30 Morris Run and the Houtsdale lodge attended the Punxeutawney convocation where Grand Chancellor David C. Reese of Plymouth was entertained.
George Fulford ESQ a longtime member of the Clearfield county bar died unexpectedly at his mother's Pine Street home. He had suffered asthma and spent nights resting in a chair. He died at 4 AM after his throat distress. He was 42, leaves two children, his mother, and brothers Harry in insurance in Clearfield and John in Da Bois.
William Borden was killed Wednesday at Harbisde Walker mine after contacting an electric wire. Howard Gray of Winburne died Tuesday when rock fell on him in the Winbourne mine, leaving a wife and six children. Stanislaus Shormin was killed Wednesday at Button siding after being struck on the track. George Nelson shot a 300 pound buck along the Penfield road Tuesday, the largest buck in Clearfield County in years.
Columbus, Nov. 12 Revision of the Anti Saloon League of America constitution to enable a countrywide Prohibition campaign was announced by the Board of Trustees. State superintendents will be named by a national board and headed by a national superintendent. Wealthy state leagues will aid local organizations as the nation is divided into sixteen districts each with a district leader. Dr. Pusey AL Baker, general superintendent, attacked Governor James M. Cox of Ohio for adopting an aligned license law saying Ohio sullied its name and the governor has been a friend of liquor traffickers.
Residents allege gas company oppression after doors were locked during a protest on Monday and a Tuesday bill payment penalty of 30 cents. Reports claim a 12 percent per thousand feet rate increase, sparking townwide discontent and calls for action.

American residents were said to be unable to escape to the battleship Lautetana or gunboat Wheeling, with twenty Americans rescued by the warship. The report notes American citizens in danger and naval responses near Vera Cruz on November 1.
