Progressive party platform outlined and Roosevelt stance
The Progressive party lays out its fall campaign program focusing on independence from the Republican party with fusion tickets where needed, policy as the rallying point, and consolidating progressive voters across states. In New York a Republican governor nomination could be endorsed if acceptable to progressives and the platform is approved. Roosevelt has not publicly committed, but leaders report clarity emerging from talks with Progressives in Washington and at Sagamore Hill. Greatly improved bank premises in County National Bank are renovated with new walls and ceilings enhancing appearance.
