Died at Morris home Kenneth Norlen dies at home
Kenneth Norlen, son of Mr and Mrs H R Morris, died Friday December 4 1914 at 7 pm and was buried Saturday in the Norlen graveyard. His memory lives in those who loved him. Clark County readers raised over 200 dollars for literacy work led by Mrs Cora Wilson Stewart. After January 4 1915 The Times will cost one dollar in advance.

Successful Meeting Brought to a Close
The protracted meeting at the Christian Church ended last Thursday with seventy additions. Many were baptized Friday afternoon by Rev. J. Matherly, pastor. He marks his fourth year as pastor and will continue next year. At Log Lick and Pharis he preached and closed services. Circuit Court opened in Winchester Monday with Judge Benton and a long docket. several cases may push to the next term, with focus on local vice conditions.

Man Must Pay for Paper If He Accepts It Judge Rules
Judge George Thomas in Columbus Nebraska ruled that a man who accepts a paper delivered to his home must pay for it. In the Telegram case for 2.35 he had refused to pay but was required to compensate the newspaper. The verdict sided with the Telegram, applying the old common law principle that what is received and used must be paid for.
