The Coin shops area gains new layout under R W Baldwin and M L Calhoun to combine ag and shop work under one roof. A fresh paint shop and safety color coding aim to minimize accidents as the industrial arts program grows from seventh grade onward with woodwork drafting ceramics and basic electricity.

At the Al Pershing grounds in New Market a third injury free Kids Rodeo drew a large audience. Winners included Douglas Pratt in calf riding 8-10, Gene Geer 12 and Dick Ismann 15.
