Thirty-one to graduate from Clarinda Community College
Clarinda Community College will award diplomas to 31 sophomores at 8 pm Tuesday in the school auditorium. Dean Sonneman announced the principal speaker will Dr William H Schechter of Tarkio College, with remarks by Supt William A Anderson and presentation by R R Oehler. Music by Carolyn Laub and a college trio and solos accompany the procession and recessional. The invoca tion and benediction will be given by Dr J D Almes. The graduating list includes students from Liberal arts to Veterinary and other programs, with home towns listed for each recipient.

Farrell faces trial for suspected drunk driving in Page County

Mrs Jennie Steiner Dies at 83 in Drexel Ill
Mrs Jennie Steiner, 83, a frequent visitor to the area with her sister Mrs Lillian Schoenberg, died Tuesday at her Drexel home. Funeral services were held Thursday in Chicago with Mrs Schoenberg, Mrs Helen Schlachter, and Joe Schoenberg of Red Oak in attendance. Steiner had lived for months in a duplex on North 16th Street owned by Mrs Hulda Battles.
