Memorial Day Observance Plans Formulated at Armory
Plans for Memorial Day church and graveside services on May 30 were formulated by the Glenn Miller Armory committee led by Dale Foster. Am vets will run the parade, farming and cemetery services, with a single wreath at the unknown soldier grav e. The parade forms on the square at 9:30 am and departs at 9:45 am. Veterans should meet May 27 at 10:30 am for a mass march to the joint service.

Three Injured In Collision Near Shenandoah Sunday Night
A two car crash on Highway 48 about a mile and a half north of Shenandoah Sunday at 7 45 pm injured three people. Leonard R Martin drove south and turned into a nursery field colliding with a car owned by Anna Haggland. Mrs Haggland was hospitalized in satisfactory condition. the two drivers were not. Both cars were a total loss. Deputy Sheriff Tom Cumming reported details.

Rites Wednesday for J C Wineinger Braddyville Man
Funeral services for John C Wineinger 95 Braddyville will be held Wednesday at 2 30 pm at Foster Harmon Williams Mortuary. The Rev Clarence Woollard Mount Ayr will officiate with burial in Old Memory Cemetery near New Market. Wineinger died Monday at Clarinda Municipal Hospital after about 30 days illness. Survivors include two sons Clyde Braddyville and Charles New Market.

RH van Deusen was elected president of the Lincoln School Parent-Teachers Association to succeed Dr James Campbell. Other members are Barr Keshlear Shenandoah Wilbur Kelley Clarinda Bernard Shoberg Pierce Township and Roy Gator Lincoln Township. The board sits from the first Monday in May to completion by May 31, meetings at the assessor's office except May 17 and 18 in Shenandoah Armory. It reviews personal property assessments and protests for 1956. no real estate assessments this year except new buildings, with real estate to be assessed in 1957 per Assessor Rolla Huddle.
