Funeral services for Al Heil 51 Clarinda jeweler who died suddenly of a heart attack at his home Saturday will be held Wednesday at 10 am at St Clare's Church with Father Eugene Klein officiating. He toiled in local jewelry trade since 1932 and recently marked 25 years in business. He is survived by his wife Verla, daughter Patricia, five siblings and two grandchildren. Interment in Clarinda Cemetery follows at Walker Funeral Home viewing Tuesday evening.

Parks Swim Added to Two Day Trip by Clarinda Band
Clarinda marching band completed its second annual trip spending two days at the Pella Tulip Festival and touring Des Moines. Don Barre and Clayton Waterbury, Omaha Trailways drivers, guided 74 members plus 8 adults in two buses. The group paraded in Pella, visited Greenwood and Ewing Parks, St John’s Lutheran and First Methodist Churches, and the Des Moines Art Center. All stayed in one motel and swam in a private pool at night and morning.
