Shambaugh Iowa fire department purchases a water truck to improve on scene fires. The vehicle carries 300 gallons and supports two streams for 36 minutes. Funding includes a $250 town contribution and a $300 private loan with crews volunteering for repairs. Contributions are being solicited locally to repay the loan and cover repair costs. Funeral services set for Friday at 2 p m at Walker Funeral Home for Mrs Della Wilson 77 of Clearmont Missouri who died Tuesday night at Clarinda Municipal hospital. She had been ill for some time and was hospitalized 19 days. She was born near Braddyville daughter of the late Abner and Mrs. Burch. Surviving are four sons John Clarinda Robert Clearmont Clan Racine Wis and Aden California. three sisters Edna Woods Shambaugh Emma Seivers Auburn Nebr and Lula Stannard Corning. a brother Jeff Burch Shambaugh. Rev I stickelman will officiate Interment at Clearmont. Body in state at funeral home Thursday evening.

Morton Township Women Rise to Lead Farm Bureau Work
Morton township north and west of Conn leads in Farm Bureau and extension activities this year under co chairs Mrs Garfield Berg and Mrs Ermal Ketcham. Ten meetings were held this fall and winter, seven as workshops where homemakers learned new skills and produced usable items.
