Lightning Strikes Clarindan Trailer Injuring Mrs Gillespie

Mrs May Duncan Suffers Stroke in New Market
Mrs May Duncan aged 92 of New Market suffered a stroke Sunday and was found Monday morning by Mrs Ruth Dennis. She was believed to have had the stroke early Sunday and was found on the porch. She was taken to Municipal hospital for treatment.

Mrs Dora Smith Dies at Blanchard at 87
Mrs Dora Smith 87 of Blanchard died Saturday in Elmo Missouri. Funeral services were held Monday at the Blanchard Methodist Church with Rev Ida Roberts presiding. Burial followed in Blanchard cemetery. She was daughter of Thomas and Fullerton pioneers. Her husband Elwood died 19 years ago. Survived by sons Charles of Scottsbluff Ned and Barroll of Blanchard and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Beardsley Funeral Home in Chariton for Charles E Dunn 74 a former Clarinda businessman who died in Chariton Saturday morning Dunn started in the monument business in 1916 with Earl E Williams later moving to Corning and then establishing Dunn Monument Coat in Chariton retiring in 1946 His survivors include a daughter Mrs June McClintock a sister Mrs Orville Green Williams and sisters-in-law Mrs Nan Taggart and Miss Flora McKee.
