Mrs Nina M Cozad 76 died Tuesday at Research Hospital Kansas City after a three week stay. Born in Clarinda she lived there until moving in October to join her son William Cozad and family. Survived by one son two grandchildren and widow of J W Cozad. Funeral Thursday at Foster Harmon Williams Mortuary with Rev Lester Greenwood officiating. Interment in Clarinda Cemetery.

Dale Elmore, a teacher at the local high school, was elected principal by the Board of Education at a special meeting and signed the contract. He succeeds Harold Donelson, who resigned after his second year. Elmore, 40, will receive his master's in education from Drake University next commencement.
