Forty eight attendees at an organizational meeting formed a Lincoln grade school PTA chapter. Dr James Campbell was elected president with Mrs Ed Butler as vice president, Mrs James Krise secretary, and Mrs Marvin Wolruff treasurer. Clarence now has a PTA chapter for each grade school. Severe winter on rabbits may limit Clarinda show
The harsh 1954 55 winter hit Midwest rabbit breeders hard and could trim the Clarinda spring rabbit show at the Youth barn May 6 8. Officials expect 300 rabbits for display with early entries coming from Missouri Nebraska and Iowa. Pens are being erected to house the animals and more spaces may be added as entries arrive. The public may register at the show with free admission and a refreshment stand run by the Ladies of the association.

Twenty four Clarinda soloists and ensembles were rated at the Iowa state music contest in Indianola. Judges from hundreds of entries in the southern Iowa section announced 38 entries from CHS departments with seven I ratings and 16 II ratings. Father of Dr W G Kuehn Dies Sudden at Huron South Dakota
Dr W G Kuehn learns his father George G Kuehn 71 died suddenly of a heart attack at Huron SD. Surviving are his wife and another son Vernon of Huron. No funeral arrangements learned before Dr and Mrs Kuehn left Friday to attend services.
