Charges filed in court against three in adultery and DUI case
Three people face charges in District Court this week. Eu gene Turnbull and Velma Woods are charged with living together in adultery at 104% S Webster Shenandoah after waiving preliminary exam. They are held in Page County Jail on $1,000 bonds. George M Moore is charged with drunk driving in Pierce Township after pleading innocent and being bound over to District Court, posting a $500 bond.

The East Page County Cancer Society fund crusade kickoff luncheon took place Thursday at the Linderman Hotel with east Page chairman Mrs Marie Sump presiding. Committee chairs reported briefly on Scholarship Lucile Woolson education Maxine Campbell publicity Darlene Grebert. Mrs Marie Buss of Denver IA urged township chairmen on the value of cancer education and the effort as a societal challenge. Stork Delivers Premature Baby at Home in Local Birth
A 4 lb 12 oz boy was born at 615 Stith St to Mrs Robert Gray on Saturday night. The grandmother Mrs Fred Wagaman, with nursing experience, helped as the doctor and ambulance arrived. It was the couple’s second child. Mrs Wagaman plans a nursing home at 608 S 12th St around April 15.

Hearing on Proposed School Reorganization April 29
Objectors to the proposed reorganization plan for the Villisca Independent School District must file objections by April 29. Bridges to be let in Page County on April 30
Contracts for two farm to market bridge replacements in Page County will be let at Iowa Highway Commission headquarters in Ames April 30 at 9 am. Both bridges are continuous I beam designs with removal of the old structures. One bridge, 20 by 175 feet, will span between Sections 16 and 17 in Washington Township and the other, 20 by 150 feet, will span between Sections 11 and 14 in Morton Township.
