County to Distribute Surplus Commodities Next Week
The Page County Board of Social Welfare will distribute about 22 000 pounds of surplus foods including cheese dry milk beans rice flour and corn meal in Clarinda Shambaugh Yorktown Hepburn Hraddyville Blanchard College Springs Shenandoah Coin and Essex on March 24 to 28. Citizens unable to attend may appoint a proxy by writing Welfare Court House Clarinda to pick up for them. No second distribution or later pickups allowed.

Auto crash leads to OMVI charges after district finals game
Four Northboro Redbirds players were in a car wreck seven miles north of Clarinda on way to a district final. Driver George Woods and Roy Heard faced OMVI and intoxication charges. Woods paid a 300 dollar fine after pleading guilty.

Fifty nine head of Polled Hereford cattle sold for a total of 15660 at the first annual show and sale of the ToNeMo Polled Hereford Association at the Page County Youth Barn in a strong showing.
