Fire crews extinguish minor house blaze in Clarinda

Dozen Sign Up For Sky Watch Here In Clarinda
A dozen volunteers sign up at a city reorganization meeting for the Clarinda Ground Observer Corps post at the Municipal Airport. Post Supervisor Jim Tisdale says the sky watch post will be manned part of Saturday and most of Sunday and aims to be in full operation by April 1. Captains will run each day and appoint shift captains to ensure two on duty in two hour shifts, with trained scanners to be announced.
